The Lameirinha rally stage is identical to the Fafe stage with the only difference being that the Lameirinha stage is a few kilometers longer, starting outside the town of lameirinha rather than further north in Vila Pouca. The WRC uses the Fafe stage whereas the ERC uses the Lameirinha stage in the Rally Serras de Fafe e Felgueiras.
Both stages feature the legendary Pedra Sentada jump with the finish for both just after the jump. Pedra Sentada or the Fafe jump, is one of the most well known and iconic stages in the entire championship. It has been used since the inaugural year of the championship when huge crowds used to gather at the fafe jump, leaving barely enough room for the car to get through. The Pedra Sentada jump still attracts the large crowds, especially for the WRC round but these days spectators are controlled and well back from the jump.Â
The sides of the stage are banked but getting a spot with good visibility can still be very tricky. To get a good view early arrival is essential, many people will have been there overnight, to ensure a good spot.
