The Great Orme rally stage is run on the coastal asphalt surfaced road around the headland at Llandudno in North Wales. Parking is available but expect to do a reasonable amount of walking over the top of the headloand to reach the viewing areas. Most viewing is in an elevated position on the cliffs that run along the side of the stage.
Wrap up warm to watch this stage, it is very exposed and if the weather is poor it can get very cold. Bear in mind this stage get cancelled if the weather is particularly windy. The safety reqirements were increased after Ott Tanaks crash into a resevoir in Mexico. Safety crews need to be present in the water along the coast in the event a car ends up in the sea, if the water is choppy it makes a resuce potentially difficult.
Prior to 2013 it had not been used as an international rally stage since 1981. Since 2013 the Great Orme rally stage has been a regular feature of Wales Rally GB.
