There is a double hairpin at the official viewing area of the Gartheiniog rally stage. Although the cars are only in view for a short time the hairpins offer good viewing. The sides are banked so visibilty is not too much of a problem. The cars are also briefly visible on the other side of the valley, although to far away to offer any good viewing.
Access to both this stage and the Dyfi rally stage is off the A470 at Aberangell. The Gartheiniog rally stage is a 15 minute drive up the forest roads from the main road. Parking gets full here early then access is closed off. Be careful if you are going to park on the main road, police tow cars away which are not fully on the verge. Make sure you are well off the road. It takes around an hour to walk up to the stage.
