The Lousada rally cross circuit offers great viewing points and an equally great atmosphere. Rallycross circuits offer very accessible, easy viewing of the WRC Rally Portugal and a rare opportunity to see the crews go head to head.
Rally Portugal is one of the few rounds to use this great format for a super special stage. The cars set off in pairs and complete one loop of the Lousada rally cross circuit, (a kind of figure of 8 folded in half).
The circuit is easily accessible, with parking either in the car park or, if there is space, on the street outside.
The ease of access makes these super special stages especially suitable families and people who have not been to watch a rally before. Viewing is from a banked area around the track and the cars are viewable around much of the rally cross track. Entry is not free but it is worth it, especially since most of the main stages are free of charge at the Portugal round of the WRC.If you arrive late and miss the front runners entrance seems to be free of charge.
The only downside of this stage is there is no accomodation in walking distance for those wanting to ditch the car for the night.
