This is another classic Monte Carlo stage, first contested in 1965 and very often run until 2006 from Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée. Since 2022 this legendary Col de la Couillole stage (1678m) now starts in the village of Roure. The first half of the stage is a long uphill, starting out narrow but getting wider and faster, leading to a series of often icy hairpins near the summit of the Col de la Couillole, marking the highest point of the rally. The crews will then enjoy a much wider and very fast downhill portion to Beuil.
