Isegami’s Tunnel is a memorable rally stage known for its challenging layout, it takes drivers through narrow mountain roads, sharp hairpins, and dark, winding tunnels that demand both precision and speed. The tunnel sections introduce limited visibility and test a driver’s reactions and handling skills, especially at high speeds. Drivers must navigate between tight cliffs and dense forestry, making the Isegami’s Tunnel stage a favorite for those seeking an adrenaline-pumping and technically demanding experience.

Set against a backdrop of scenic Japanese mountain landscapes, the stage combines natural beauty with treacherous racing conditions, making it a standout for rally fans and a unique driving test for drivers competitors.

This stage features the famous 380-meter-long, reputedly haunted Isegamis tunnel, which has proved tricky for more than one driver since it was first included in 2022 in Japan’s return to the World Rally Championship.
In 2022, Sordo’s car caught fire on the stage, and in 2023, the stage caught Sordo out again, along with Formeaux and Katsuta.

At 23kms long it was the longest stage of the rally in 2022.

ADD A RALLYESPOT

This is a work in progress. The main thing the site needs is the location of the viewing place /  photo so users know where to go. It needs to be in the form of a GPS co-ordinate (49.18886666939079,17.72569728089841), you can get it from the metadata of an image. I know this is mega clunky at the minute, but hopefully, it will become automated….
