Automobile Club d’Italia and ACI Sport, the rally organisers, published the ‘Rally Guide 1’ on Wednesday 25th January, which details the rally sardinia route for 2023. The rally headquaters moves east to Olbia for the Rally Sardinia route 2023, after 2 years back in its more traditional location of Alghero over to the east. Olbia hosted the first ever edition of Rally Sardinia as a WRC event back in 2004. The stages are located on the gravel roads around the north east of the island. Despite the change of headquarters, the rally retains much of the same format. There are two main changes to the rally, the first is the Monte Lerno stage being almost doubled in length to just under 50kms, making it by far the longest of the weekend. The Monte Lerno stage features the famous ‘Micky’s Jump’. The second main addition is and a brand new Super Special Stage on the streets of Olbia named Sardegna.
