The FIA ERC Calendar 2023 has a slightly new look to last year. First up is Rally Serras de Fafe e Felgueiras in Portugal. This long standing rally uses many of the same stages as Vodafone Rally de Portugal including the Fafe jump. The Azores rally has been dropped, with some teams complaining the long haul trip was logistically hard to organise. There is then a 2 month break and it is, over to Rally Islas Canarias on Grand Canaria, next up is Orlen Rally Poland followed by Tet Rally Liepaja.
Next on the ERC Calendar 2023 is the Royal Rally of Scandinavia is next, held in July rather than its usual spot in February and, therefore, the rally will not have its regular snow covering. The subsequent two rallies are Rallye di Roma Capitale followed by Barum Czech Rally Zlin, as in 2022. The final round is IV Rally Hungary, back after a year out.
The ERC is held throughout Europe and organized by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). The championship has been running since 1953, and is a multi surface championship alternating between rallies on asphalt and gravel. It is the oldest multi national rally championship in the world and in 2013 it merged with the Intercontinental Rally Challenge
