The Elsi stage is very technical with a lot of corners and virtually no long fast sections. The area acround the lake and towards the finish can be easily accessed by parking in to Betws-y-Coed and then using the forest fire roads to walk up to the stage. The roads are free and easy to access although it is a fairly long steep hill. It takes around 45 minutes to reach the stage from the centre of Betws-y-Coed. Official parking is accessed east out of to Betws-y-Coed along the A5. Access is up a steep road, and parking is on the side of it, so not particularly good for campers.
There is a hostel and a couple of hotels in Betws-y-Coed, making it a good place to stay to watch the Penmachno and Elsi Stages, with the latter being in walking distance.
The Penmachno WRC stage is just south of Elsi and Betws-y-Coed and can be accessed by car fairly quickly from this stage.
