Oulton Park

Oulton Park was used in 2019 for the first time since 1993. It used to be regularly used before the move into Wales.  The area is a mixture of grass and tarmac. Although rarely favoured by the drivers, these short style spectator stages provide an easily accessibe way to watch the WRC with facilites such as catering, toilets, disabled access.  Most of the viewing is within very close proximity to the car parks (less than 100 meters). Furthermore access is through flat park lands, so no walking through forest areas. There are large screens and commentary dotted about so, spectators can follow a car throughout most of the stage before it comes into view.  All this makes the area ideal for first time spectators and families with young children.

The stage includes many of the iconic sections of the race circuit such as Lodge, Deer Leap and Cascades, the cars are also required to perform a donut mid stage. Rallies are never won on these short spectator stages, however they are frequently lost, small mistakes can lead to the cars clipping barriers or going off the road completely.

Aside from the WRC cars there is other entertainment throughout the day, including some of the iconic historic WRC cars taking on the stage and autograph sessions with the crews.

Oulton Park is situated next to Little Budworth and is best accessed from the A54 and the A59.  Be sure to arrive in plenty of time as there can be queues to enter.
